Started by Beverly Britton, Southern Equestrian is a locally owned business. Beverly started it to satisfy a local need in North Georgia for washing, repair & waterproofing of horse blankets. Soon, she realized that there were more niche markets, such as embroidery of equestrian things and barn/land design.
Beverly has grown up with horses. She started riding in the hunter ring at a young age in Florida under Penny Dize. Beverly continued her riding at the University of Florida on their Equestrian Team. As an adult, she has been fortunate enough to ride with George Morris, Michael Page, Imtiaz Anees and Carol Ogden. She is currently a member of Optimum Eventing, based out of In Unison Farm. Beverly is bringing along her new mount, Luke. As a lifelong equestrian, Beverly understands the need to stretch your dollars and make your horse’s clothing last as long as possible, stay functional & look good. Beverly is excited to help you do just that.
husband, Chris is a licensed general contractor who has built many landmark projects in the South East United States. Beverly’s knowledge of horses combined with Chris’ construction know how makes them an ideal team for barn design land layout.
